Mother's Day

To all mom's out there, and mom's to be... This day is for you!
Happy day!

This picture was priceless.....
"what you doing over there?"
We were attempting to get some Mother's Day shots outside...

Here is the best shot. (below)

(well this was supposed to to have more... however the photoshop element won't load into blogger :(

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Milestones and More

We recently got to change Isabelle's car seat around. She now faces forward and LOVES it. She can see what is coming at her instead of looking at everything leaving.

We are just over 23 pounds.

Other fun times are riding on Daddy's shoulders and playing with her favorite doll, Molly.

Phones and Hats

Last week our phone line went dead. Of course we assumed it was the phone company, but when they said all was right on their end, it had to be on our end, and it was... our phone had died. Yeah, time to go out and get a new cool phone with picture caller ID and personal ring tones and all that new neat stuff. Have you bought a phone recently... they are expensive!!! So we stuck to a basic caller ID and ring tone phone. However we did make sure that the volume of the ringer could go very low so not to wake Isabelle as our old one had only to volumes: loud or ringer off.

In the end, Isabelle now has a cool new phone that she loves to 'talk' on and so do we. :)

Hello??

We have also been working with her and wearing and keeping hats on. This is the best to date... I think she is starting to like them.

Doesn't she look like a little cowgirl?

Traditions

As we grow up we learn our family's traditions. Most happen around the holidays such as Beef Fondu for Christmas Eve dinner, and sometimes around birhtdays and other special days around the year, (Mother/Father's Day breakfasts in bed and fireworks on the 4th of July). For birthdays there is the traditional cake, balloons, presents and people to cellebrate with you.

We have decided to start a special tradition with and for Isabelle (and any other children we have in the future) on her birthday. That is to have a special balloon each year, and to tie her birthday wish to it and let it go. This morning we began a new family memory that we will be able to continue for years to come.

Who ever said "Wishes don't come true" was mistaken. All of ours are right in front of us.

And YES, that is snow on the ground. It was melted away by the time I attempted to take her one year portrait... that is next.

One Year

One year ago we were in a hospital looking at our new born little angel. Yesterday she turned one. Wow!!! We cellebrated with friends, kids and family. We had the cake, the 'one' candle, the pink balloons, the many cute outfits, presents to open and all the love you can fit into a house for a little girl. The best way to tell you is to show you:

She really enjoyed the singing!

Eatting the cake was so funny. She poked at it for a while, poked some more... it wasn't until Eric feed her some frosting that she finally dove in... and well... she dove in, the red dye from the ladybug design dyed her hands and face. Too cute.

See it up the nose...

This is what I call a successful 1st Birthday.

Happy Birthday Sweet Little Love Bug!!

It's Hailing...

... the sun is out
.... there are birds and rabbits all over the front yard
..... the many hues of greens and yellows with the dark blue-gray sky are a beautiful yet erie sight
...... the wind is blowing through the branches of the pines and then it is completely still
.......And now, by the time I am done writing this entry, the hail has stopped, but the ground is white; the birds and rabbits are gone; and the erie beauty of an evening spring is still all around us.

This is an amazing Friday evening

Have a great weekend!

Five Day Forecast

I will say that this has been the craziest last 5 days of weather:

Thursday (last week): Drizzle with a light breeze
Friday: Sunny, but cool, nice breeze alos
Saturday: HOT ... 75 degrees (yes, hot compared to the 50's that it has been in). Eric and I played frisbee out front and took the baby for a bouncy stroller walk around the property.
Sunday: Cooler, about 65. Cloudy with some sun. Perfect for some yardwork (cutting back blackberries and briar)
Monday (yesterday): Morning - cloudy, cold, raining... Afternoon - sunny with some cloud coverage... Evening - lightening and thunder storm along with a hail storm. This brought so much lightening that some hit a tranformer and knocked out our power for a few hours. When the power came back on, we saw that it was snowing (freezing 32 degees)
Tuesday : woke up to one inch of smow on the ground; off and on hail storms

What will happen this next week??? Looking foward to the adventure~

Some Dance Moves

Isabelle has some real dance moves: a good bounce and a sweet shimmer... Though everytime I get the camera out, her moves 'run out.'

The song is from her favorite show "Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends." Every time it comes on, she gets the biggest smile, starts dancing and usually claps when the song is over. It is an adorable annimated show of spiders and other bugs and how they get along; (social and interperonal skills). It is a show on NOGGIN a nick Jr. channel. 11

11th month birthday shots. It was a nice day outside so Eric and uncle Charlie took Isabelle out on the little slide. She loved it!

I can not believe that in a little under 2 weeks, Isabelle will be one. A whole year has gone by... WOW!!!

She is cruising, grabbing at our hands to walk her around. I know that once she starts walking... all will break loose. I doubt that she will actually walk... I believe that she will be at a full blown RUN!

It's March!!!

And it is snowing. We had snow for almost a week. So we invited over our neighbors and Kristy and Sophia to have some fun in the snow.

She loved being pulled in the sled!

Sophia and Isabelle are sitting next to the first snowman. He fell down a few hours later.

Snowman number 2... built two days later.

I am working on camera angle and focus... photography hobby and all. These two are probably the best.

Sophia was throwing snow balls aat Beau... guess he didn't like that.
