Lost....

... but now FOUND!!

After 8 months of wondering where 'it' went and searching for 'it';; ""knowing"" 'it' was in Eric's car, yet looking and not finding 'it';; 'it' has been found!! 'It' WAS in Eric's car, under the driver's seat. I am so, SO happy that 'it' has been found, you have no idea!!!

Now, I bet you are wondering what 'it' is?? You can guess 'it' is small, since 'it' was found under the driver's seat of a car and that 'it' is very important to me... I'll give you a hint~~ 'it' helps something by making something work so that I can record the cuteness of our little girl. ;) (and it is black)

YEAH!!! 'It' has been found and 'it' is working very hard right now!

What happens to someone who stays up till 1am on the 4th, lighting fireworks, get up at 5am to finish preping the pig for cooking, tending to the cooking pig and then parties and eats all day till about 7pm and then has to clean up... Way to much fun. See you next year!

PIG ROAST!!!

The first annual Pig Roast was a HUGE success!!!

It began about a month prior, when Eric and Hunn welded a make-shift grill together, 2 grills really, that would sandwhich a pig inbetween in order for it to cook. One week before the roast, Hunn and his brother came with a truck load of cinder blacks and built an above ground pit, in which the grill would sit on top of as the flames below would cook the pig slowly over a 6-8 hour period. There was MUCH research that went into this yummy project! The day before the party, Hunn and Anton came over, with the pig, convered in ice in the back of his car, and with some help, down into the bowels of the basement did the little piggie go. With a LARGE knife, and a lot of pictures... Hunn slit open the pig. Let me clarify some things.... Hunn picked up this pig at a butcher, so the little piggie was already gutted when she was brought here. He conntinued to filet and proceeded to marinating. With ice and plastice, the pig sat in the basement the rest of the night.

We all went to a great fireworks show, came home about 12ish. Isabelle and I and Grammy went to bed, but Anton had fireworks to shoot, so the boys went off to an open area, away from homes to light them. They came back sometime after 1, went to bed and woke up at 5am when their alarms sounded. I, of course, slept in some more... till about 6am. In that hour, all 3 boys got the pig and layed her out on the grill, tied the two grills together (for turning purposes), lite the pit fire (which had to be stoked every 40 minutes) and got her cooking. The piggie was ready about 2:30 and was DELISOUS!! One of Hunn's friends brought homemade sauses for the pork sandwhiches...oh so good.

There were roughly 40-50 people at our house from 12pm on till about 6pm..... not all at the same time of course. It was a wonderful time to see everyone, yet I was sad that I didn't get to spend as much time with some friends as I wanted to. But since this is now an annual event... I will find a way. There were events for everyone too... those who wanted to see the pig cooking could, and those that did not wnat to didn't have to, since the pit is secluded. We had a few tents up for shade, a BBQ up for those that didnt want pork. Everyone brought some delisious side dish!! ThankYou! We set up a kiddie pool with kiddie slide, water toys, a net was set for volleyball or badmitten. A slip-n-slide was even brought in as was a cool rocket launcher!

It was a great time, and we can't wait to see what is brought to the roast next year!!! I must say though, that we may have to have a bigger piggie next time. We'll see you next year!

4th of July

Happy Independance Day!!!

Our day was great. We had a relaxing day to start then dressed in patriotic colors and went to a friend's house that live on a near by lake and enjoyed wonderful food, company and an amazing show of fireworks that lasted about an hour and a half. I love going to the lake, our friends do such a gorgeous show!!! Plus the music that is blasting in the background makes the entire show even more spectacular! Isabelle was a major trooper and loved the show, though you could tell she was starting to get tired by the end of it. Grammy was a trooper too. She is staying with us for three weeks this summer and we made sure that this year her stay would be around the 4th, so she could enjoy this glorious event! Eric and his friend Dave (and Dave's brother) also came this year to the show and they were more than impressed!!

ROSS... you outdid yourself again, better each year!!! As Isabelle woudl say everytime a loud bomb went off... "Ross, BOOM again!"

6th Anniversary

For our half dozen years of marrage celebration, we decided to go on a family hike. Isabelle is now old enough to tough out a decent length hike and if hse got tired, we have a baby backpack to plop her in. So we set off to Twin Falls to hike up to the waterfall... 4 miles round trip. We brought food, changes of clothes, everything... even the camera... though regretably, I for got to charge its battery. I know, terrible!!!! I was planning on many wonderful, random photos.. but instead we had to save what was left of the battery till we got up to the falls. Of course, this is now a GREAT excuse to go back to the falls, for another 4 mile hike. hehehe Isabelle was a trooper!! She hiked just about 2 miles and then just sat down on teh trail!! So cute. She was DONE. So up she went in the baby backpack and rode on daddy's back the rest of the way up, down the many staris to a view point and back up all those stairs and the whole way back down. It was a wonderful day. Too many people were there, so it wasn't the most romantic, however, it was a perfect family moment for me!








I love you Eric! Many more years of adventure are yet to come! (and lots more hikes) :)
