Raining in July

HAPPY 4TH EVERYONE!!!

Our 4th was great! My Grandmother is up from California, spending three weekss with us and getting a fill of her Great Grandbaby. Isabelle loves playing with Grammy and loves to pass out kisses. She is also walking everywhere, hardly crawling anymore at all.

Our 4th was very nice, we headed to a neighbors house for a BBQ, and some play time for the kids. I wasn't thinking when I dressed Isabelle... 'Mud, why would there be mud? It is July, I will dress her in a cute outfit. If it gets dirty, wash it... no problem.' Well, there was mud, and she loved playing in 'Tonkatown' which our neighbors little boy has built. It has bridges, and a river with an aquaduct, and so much more. I started playing in it too. :)

There is dirt on my hand...

See!

So that's what you are supposed to do.

I figured it out.

This is so FUN!

My mom needs to not put me in white pants when we go play...

I love Tonka Town!!

After a fun afternoon of playing in the mud, and then a hose down to clean off prior to the bath, She fell straight asleep and didn't wake once during the fireworks. I headed to a nearby lake to a friends house to watch a magnificent show of fireworks, right off the lake. They bought close to $2000 worth of big ones and set it up the day before. It seemed professional and went for 40 minutes. GORGEOUS!!! Daddy and Grammy missed it, they were tired after playing in Tonka Town. ;) Next year I will try and get some pictures of the fireworks.

Celebrating 5 Years

Wow, I can't believe it has been 5 years already that Eric and I were married. It has gone by so fast, with so many great memories. With at least 55 more years to come, I guess this is still just the beginning, the honeymoon. ;)

Since it is the traditional 'wood' anniversary, our big present to eachother was a cast iron WOOD burning stove. Yes, this means construction, and I will post all that when August arrives. But the good thing is that the heating bill will be MUCH less!!!

After that, we went to a movie, the new Indiana Jones, (good entertainment), then for a walk down by the White River and then to a very nice dinner at an Italian Restaurant. It was perfect romance.

I LOVE YOU!!!

Summer Fun Has Just Begun...

Earlier this week, Isabelle and I went up to a nieghbor's house to play with two of her grandkids. They had a fun time out in the pool... with no water of course... this made it way easier to jump in and out of it without slipping. ;)

Isabelle takes after me... talking with her hands and talking a lot! :)

Today, another neighbor and I went to Deep Lake, near our house, with Isabelle and her two cuties. We went for a nice, and needed walk around the lake, then had a nice picnic and after went down to the lake to let her older boy swim, and the two little ones put their feet in the water. Isabelle LOVED it... it was like a massive bathtub to her... she sat right down and splashed away. Too bad I forgot her swimsuit... Good thing I packed extra of everything else.

He is too cute!!

Yes, we packed and spread the sun screen multiple times!

It was a PERFECT day!!
Can't wait to do this all summer!! YEAH!

HAPPY SUMMER Everyone!!!

Today is the first day of summer and to celebrate Isabelle and I and a friend of mine with her two girls went to Pt. Defiance Zoo! It was a perfect sunny morning and we heaped on the sun screen and got in the strollers and away we went! Of course, we left the cameras behind. :( Terrible, I know. However, the bright side is that the sun is here with the blue skies, which means lots of zoo trips this summer and childrens' museum and swimming time and so much more; all with cameras!

Father's Day

What a busy day with so many 'costume' changes. We visited Papa Morceau in the morning and had a yummy brunch.

'Little Shark' Isabelle found the kiddie pool and climbed all around, and up the slide. Luckily there was no water in it!!

Then we drove out to Gig Harbor to visit Grandpa Weber. There we ate a delicious dinner and also celebrated Isabelle's 1st birthday again, since my parents were in So. Cal. on her actual birthday.

Isabelle also played some piano while we were at my parents. Doesn't she look like a pro!!

The day was fun, and not at all relaxing. Isabelle played and played and finally crashed in the car on the way home, where we had to give her a big bath. The main reason is that while having dinner, we let her explore with a spoon. Some got in her mouth.

School's Out

Well, almost...
I have two more days, but they are fun days... for me. Field day, which I am bringing Isabelle, and then the last day, Tuesday, is half day, yearbook signing and stuff like that. But, yeah, I am done with my grades, got all the finals graded by 11:30 last night. :)

Yesterday too, the kids set off their pop bottle rockets. That is hard to get a good/decent picture of a rocket shooting off, timing is everything. I got a couple of shots though. (They are fairly blurry)

I mostly got shots like this... a water trail.

Past Times in the Car

No, that is not a typo...
Here is a new past (not fast) time while driving.

Ferry Ride

My parents are back up from So. Cal... Up for the summer and fall and yeah, the holidays too. Earlier this week they got to see Isabelle and we went for a ferry ride to Vashon Island for some antique shopping and some lunch at the old Hardware Store. It turned out to be a great day, weather and all! And Isabelle loved the wind in her hair from the ferry ride.

A day of SUN in May

In May, there were I think two days of sun... on one of those days, we went to the nana and papa's and played for a short while in the kiddie pool. Isabelle really wanted in, so we took off her clothes, got her in a 'little swimmer' and in she stepped, and splashed around with cousin Sophia. 5 minutes later she was done and wanted out.

PS...

Yes, that is bubble wrap, wrapped around that table behind her. It is a marvelous solution to solving the problems of "how to stop a baby from hitting her head on the table and getting hurt?" and "how do we stop her from going under the table and getting stuck?" You can't see it, but there is also pipe insulation taped around the legs of that table, then the bubble wrap around that. We have done that to a couple of tables... works wonders, and is fairly cheap. The unfortunate thing to that she is now trying to climb up on the table..... ugh!

Head Banging!

Here is a move that daddy has taught her... along with playing the guitar which she LOVES!!!!

Gotta love the credits from 'Evan Almighty'!!

Everybody Dance Now

First Steps

Here are the first steps... there are only about 5 here, but they are the best steps ever caught on tape. She hasn't really taken more then these few steps, but she has mastered the standing up and balancing (with the occasional attempt to dance). ENJOY!

13 1/2 months old!!! Go Baby Go!!

Out And About

Where is the sun?? Ok, I will settle for cloudy but not pouring...

Anyways, on the few (like 3) days that we have had that are nice, I take Isabelle out for fun walks out to see the goats, and up the road to see the horses (there are two colts too, I will have to get some pics later). She loves going for rides in the stroller!!

Cute little guy. That is our neighbors dog, Paddington.
She was ready to go, she doesn't like just sitting around.

The top of our driveway... trying to make look better with a tree in a box. :)

We also invested in a baby back pack so that we can start hiking about the trails in the area. She loves it!!

Just chilling eatting cherios!
