Preschool Update!

So Isabelle is now LOVING preschool!! There are only tears now when she doesn't get to go, like on weekends, or Mondays.

She and her friend Angelena get ready for school each morning together, get all cute with their clothes (already sharing clothes... hehehe), get their hair all done and off they go. Of course when I come home, I have to take pictures of her outfits and dresses. The days she picks her own clothes are so cute and some of the dresses she wears are so perfect on her... she lo oks like an little Victorian girl. I will post those as soon as the battery is charged.

She is bringing home some of her art projects from school, and of course they must be hung up at home too! They worked a lot with hands and finger painting... then with apples, so I am guessing the letter 'A' since those are the types of art work that are coming home.

Today, Isabelle and Angelena when on their FIRST ride in a good old yellow school bus on the way to their FIRST field trip, which was to the pumpkin patch. William went too, but as a tag-a-long, on his Ist of many tag-a-long trips. Both girls had such an amazing time that apparently they fell asleep on the way home. :) They both got to pick out their own pumpkins and even William got a tiny one too... Yes, many photos will be coming soon... though with the field trip, since I did not go, my friend Tarie, Angelena's mom went with the girls and sadly the teachers split up into their seperate classes, so we didnt get that many of Isabelle, but hopefully they will show up on the school website and I will get them from there.

As for Sweet William... his update ... He is Log Rolling now, and putting his knees up under himself now. Oh goodness, I can see him on the move soon, we are in for trouble and I cant wait! He loved going on the field trip today too, everyone apparently commented on how happy and smiley he was and how content he was to be around all the people.

All About The Boy!

Wow, I can't believe that William is almost 7 months old!! Time sure does fly! He is all smiles these days, chatting up conversations with everybody and anything and with his spiky hair, he is too cute!! This last week, he has done SO many baby things! Where do I start?

He has figured out now how to roll from his tummy to his back (about time!): he's a Rollie Pollie!!, he scoots backwards, spins in circles while on his tummy, he is sitting up (mostly on his own with occasional falling backwards into pillows or face plants), and he has his first tooth, on the bottom!!!

We found out tonight, he does not like squash! He ate his first bite of it, gave a very unhappy face and with all future bites he kept his mouth tightly shut! So funny. So I swapped the squash out and put in green beans and those were gone super fast. He loves his green vegies.
And Yes... The spiked hair is all natural!

Preschool

Yup, that's right... Isabelle started preschool at a few weeks ago! Her first day she was SO excited, though there were a few tears welling in her eyes, she did not cry and when it was time to go to the class room, off she went, no problem. It is truely a good thing that I was at work, and daddy ended up taking her... not so sure I would have held it together. ;) Day two, 3 and 4 were a tad bit worse as each day progressed, more tears welling, until finally she cried. Yay though that her friend Angelena is with her and they walked together to class. Again, so happy that daddy has been taking her to school these last few weeks.

This last week, there have been no tears at all!! YAY! She is super excited to go, still super excited once she gets there and happey when it is time for the teachers to take them to their classroom. Though she does keep looking back to see if daddy is watching, there are no more tears.
So daddy has been dropping her off to school each day and I pick her up where she proceeds to attempt to tell me what they did in school that day. So far we understand that she paints her hands, stamps her hands, built an apple and sings and dances. This all translates to tracing and then painting or stamping designs in hand tracing, and learning the letter 'A' through the word apple. They sing and dance to kids songs like 'The Wheels on the Bus' and '5 Little monkeys.' It is so cute watching her dance to the songs. They have their first field trip, going on a good ole' yellow school bus coming up in a few weeks, to a pumpkin patch. Isabelle is already SO excited!

Seems like she is adjusting to and loving preschool!

Full Time!

Well, it has been about a month, where I have been a full time teacher. It has been great so far. Yes there was the honey moon period, however that ended a week or so ago, and I am still liking the full time. I am tired when the day is done... but I take about 30 minutes after school to rest and then go get Isabelle from preschool and I am ready to play, or cuddle when I get home. :)

I am relieved that I am not coaching this year... that would of been too much. Especially with working on my certificate renewal and kiddos at home, to be awake and happy for. Twice as many students deffinately makes it more busy and more names to remember, but it brings in more personalities (mostly good, some not so much).

I am ready for the adventures the year has in store... so far nothing like falling projectors ot of the ceiling, but our intruder drill today did bring in some new perspectives. ;) Open house is tomorrow night, yippee!

Good Night Bloggers... sleep tight!

Got My Wings!

This year my birthday weekend was FULL of excitement! Starting bright and early, I headed over to the Black Diamond area for the bi-annual triathalon (which for those that dont know, it is half an iron-man) to take some photos as a freelance photographer. Yes, it was for free, but I have a feeling with some of the photos I took, I will deffinately get published and get my name out there! So starting at 8 with all the pre-race stuff, then the race began at 9 with 3 'waves' of swimming, then off to the 56 miles of biking, and last the running. Sadly I had to leave before the leader of the race began his run, as Eric had a surprise for me!!! But I got some AWESOME photos!
So, I went home, freshened up for my big surprise! PARASAILING! I have wanted to do this for years but something always came up when I was ready to do it... mainly being prego... and every year I wanted to go on my birthday... since the last weekend of September is always perfect weather! And as always, Saturday was more than beautiful and up I went.

The first mate straps you into a harness, puts you in a platform on the end of the boat, hooks your harness onto the parasail, then the captain pushes on the gas and up Up UP I went! I didnt bring my camera... I didnt want to drop it!! But next time I will bring the small one and hook it on to my life jacket and get some photos. The ones below are from the first mate... the only 4 that were not blurry out of about 15 total photos.

Toe Dip... Water wasn't as cold as I expected.

If you have never doen this before, DO IT!! It is a great first step to flying...
what shall I try next?? Hmmmm...

After my high flying adventure, we had a nice family dinner out and came home, to a message that a friend of mine would be there, at our house about 45 minutes later, to take me out on a fun girls night out! What an amazing and fun and tiring day! I got my wings!! YAY!!

Needless to say, I was so tired on Sunday that I did not make it out to take photos on day two of the triathalon, the sprints and olympic size competitions.

It was the second best birthday ever! Thank you honey!

So Excited!

Tomorrow I get to experience my FIRST triathalon!!! Yup, you guessed it... there will be swimming, cycling and running!!!

And if you know me well enough, then you know that I am not physically participating either, but I have been invited to be a freelance photographer for the event. This is a super great opportunity... yes, I know it is free, again, and I am not getting paid, but my thoughts are if the photos get published, then that is more word of mouth. I get to work on action shots and cool angles of photos and be creative.

It will be a long day, get there about 8am the race starts at 9 and most will be getting to the finish line about 1 or 2pm. Super Excited!!!

Da Kids!

2 Seniors and a Wedding!

So YAY me! I have been getting a bunch of calls for doing senior portraits! It helps when two girls (and their families) I have known forever ask me to do their photos and the post them on facebook! The two girls below I had as 3rd graders, my very first year teaching! I can't believe how beautiful they are, how much they have grown up.... they are not cute little girls anymore, but young women. Scarier thought, Isabelle will someday (yes far future, but still someday) be having her senir photo done too and be a young woman and no longer a cute 3 year old.

I did Allie's photos at Pt. Defiance Park in Tacoma and Jordan's photos up in Seattle at GasWorks Park. I had never been to the latter, it is quite a place for picture opportunities.

Quick Review of the wedding I photographed in July out in Roslyn, near Cle Elum. Isabelle was one of the flower girls. So cute! It was a wonderful ceremony out in the middle of a pasture and the reception was in the original school house. Perfect setting for this wonderful couple.

'Ahhh, we did it!'

Congratulations,
Venise and Ross!

Portland

We all had a great trip to Portland in August!!!

We spent 2 wonderufl nights at our Aunt's house, which is remodeled and the most gorgeous place I have ever seen!! We all had an excellent tim in the pool, which was my first time in the pool in the 10 years I have known Eric... crazy!!! Isabelle had a blast, riding on all teh floaty toys and showing off soem of her new swimming skills she learned this summer.
Daddy showed off some of his diving skills!

I also got to spend some time with one of my closest ever friend, from High School!! She and I got so family time where the kids got to play and get to know eachother... and some much needed girl time with coffee and walks! There are 10 years that we are still catching up on, and we seem to be doing great at that and making new memories as well!

Us girls!
